How to buy USIM for travel in Korea
If you travel to Korea, you will stay for a few days at the earliest or a few months for a tour.
I think the most necessary thing at this time is the Korean USIM that enables data.
These days, almost everything can be communicated with data.
I will tell you how to use data in the short term in Korea conveniently and cost-effectively.
1. Malok's Korean USIM (pre-payment)
The most common use is prepaid USIM.
We also have roaming and pocket Wi-Fi, but prepaid USIMs have the best efficiency and economy.
When you arrive at Incheon International Airport, you can purchase Korean USIM chips at the carrier's booth, but if you purchase them online in advance, you can receive USIM at a lower price without waiting.
You can receive Maltok USIM chips at the book store at terminals 1 and 2 of Incheon International Airport.
Even when Korean tourists travel abroad, they bring USIM into the empty slot.
2. Korean esim
The esim does not require physical USIM chip replacement or installation.
Most smartphones that are recently released are compatible with esim.
So, there is no need to exchange chips, and it is convenient to receive an installation link through Kakao Talk as soon as you purchase it.
To install, click the Kakao Talk link that will be sent within 10 minutes of purchase
Then, if you enter Korea with the output QR code and enter the smartphone setting and add esim, you can use the data right away.
There are two types of esim in Korea: R and RC.
R can be set on a daily basis for 3 to 10 days.
You can choose from 500MB, 1GB, or 2GB per day for data delivery.
When all the data is exhausted, unlimited use is available at 128bps speed.
The RCsim comes with 2GB per day.
When all the data is exhausted, unlimited use is available at 384 bps from then on.
RC is recommended if you have a lot of data usage and want to communicate at a faster speed even after exhaustion.
